An update on our work to tackle payment scams

Last year, the consumer group Which? asked us to look into authorised push payment (APP) scams – where people are tricked into making payments to a fraudster. We published our initial findings in December 2016, and said we’d publish an update on further work in the second half of this year.

This is an important programme of work, and we know there’s great interest in it as the anniversary of Which?’s original request approaches.
