Zalando has successfully launched Zalando Fulfillment Solutions, which gives fashion brands access to the company’s logistics infrastructure and know-how. Zalando can take over the order fulfillment for partners, from inbound to return.
Zalando Fulfillment Solutions is part of a set of digital services already offered by the German fashion company, such as Brand Solutions or Zalando Media Solutions. The fulfillment service was already announced in March last year, when Zalando also showed that it aimed to become a fashion platform instead of just an online fashion retailer.
According to the company, the Zalando platform is now an operating system for the fashion world. It offers digital services such as analytics, advertising and, from now on, fulfillment. By taking care of the order fulfillment for partners, consumers should get their orders faster than before.
8 fulfillment centers in Europe
Zalando has a logistics network that will soon consists of 8 fulfillment centers in five different countries across Europe. It has started pilots with same-day delivery, geo-localized delivery and return on demand. Brands like Bestseller, Elvi, EVITA, Motion Fashion and Surf4Shoes are already using Zalando Fulfillment Solutions.
